In 1995, Mike Hinton successfully installed an E30 M3 engine into a 1976 BMW 2002. From that moment on, his passion for car modification quickly became a beloved (and expensive) hobby.
In 1996, he purchased his first Honda: a 1992 Civic Hatchback VX. Though he had studied Hondas for years, working on this car revealed the brandâs nearly limitless modding potential, cementing it as his platform of choice.
For the next 13 years, Mike continued modifying cars and building a loyal following. As interest grew, so did the questions about where he got his parts and how he installed them. To streamline these requests, he launched a small website in 2009: Axion Industries, which offered the parts he used for sale, along with some guidance.
Little did he know that nearly 16 years after its launch (and many Hondas later), this site, as well as his âmad scientistâ builds, would end up making him one of the top go-to resellers for JDM aftermarket parts in the world.
