I'm Austin, neuroscientist and Associate Teaching Professor in the Department of Neuroscience at DePaul University in Chicago. (Views are my own; no medical advice.)
Although my research expertise is in Parkinson's and Huntington's Diseases, I've been getting into all aspects of neuroscience and psychology. My new book, Horror on the Brain, is a scientific look at horror and science fiction pop culture from Frankenstein through modern blockbusters such as Get Out and The Last of Us.
I've also written two textbooks, the self-published and free to access Open Neuroscience Initiative and Understanding Figures in Neuroscience Research through Cambridge University Press.
