The Petrojarl Knarr is a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel located in the Knarr oil and gas field in the North Sea, approximately 50 kilometers north-east of Bergen, Norway. The vessel is owned and operated by Teekay Petrojarl Production AS, a subsidiary of Teekay Corporation. The FPSO was built in 2014 by Samsung Heavy Industries in South Korea and has a storage capacity of 800,000 barrels of oil. It is designed to handle a maximum production capacity of 63,000 barrels of oil per day and 3.5 million cubic meters of gas per day. The Petrojarl Knarr is equipped with advanced technology to optimize production and ensure safe operations. It has a turret mooring system that allows it to rotate around a fixed point to align with the prevailing wind, waves and current, as well as a dynamic positioning system that keeps the vessel stable in harsh weather conditions. The FPSO is staffed by a team of experienced professionals who operate and maintain the equipment and systems onboard. The Knarr oil and gas field is estimated to have reserves of up to 80 million barrels of oil equivalent, and the Petrojarl Knarr is expected to continue to play a crucial role in the production and storage of hydrocarbons from the field.
